The long-awaited visit of Arne Schönbohm, President of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) since February 2016, was a source of lively discussion in the club. His topic:"Cyber security as a competitive advantage in digitalization". His core messages: Digitalization will significantly change the government, the economy and society, while at the same time creating new cyber threat scenarios. To counter them, cyber security must be considered from the outset.
Two very interesting intro interviews were held this evening: Dorothée Appel, currently Chief Operating Officer IT of IMG Bank in Amsterdam, was a guest from the Netherlands. Topic of the interview a. o.: "Large Scale Agility" - 54,000 bank employees worldwide, 11,000 IT staff, 800 external IT partners and a software development volume of half a billion euros per year.
And in an interview with Dr. Sebastian Saxe, he talked about his dual function as CDO of the Hamburg Port Authority and the Ministry of Economics, Transport and Innovation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. His appeal: "The social spark needs to be ignited so that digitalization can be part of everyday life!”
Finally, the start-up Compliant Analytics GmbH introduced the possibilities of artificial intelligence in the evaluation of large data sets.
