With the ITEC education initiative, the IT-Executive Club promotes
young IT and digital talent in Hamburg

Our advisory board Sven Heinsen, graduate computer scientist, is responsible in the ITEC Bildungsinititaive for the IT and digital young talents on the Alster and Elbe. He focuses in particular on the promotion of children, teenagers and young adults and the teaching of IT and digital skills.

The annual highlight is the presentation of the "IT Cares Award" at the club's New Year's reception. Our aims for the award include raising young people's awareness of and qualifying them for IT and digital skills in everyday life, the special opportunities offered by IT professions in the digital world, networking MINT initiatives in the metropolitan region with committed companies, their IT and digital departments and participating in events to promote young IT specialists.

Sven Heinsen, Member of the Advisory Board and Commissioner for the ITEC Education Initiative:

"It is our responsibility to support the many committed, often voluntary initiatives on the Alster and Elbe with all possible means, to offer them a platform and, with our combined strengths and creativity, to introduce young digital talents to future opportunities".

First activities took place within the scope of CodeWeek Hamburg. The organizers of the renowned event series organized more than 60 workshops and events of over 40 initiatives with a total of 1,500 participants. At CodeWeek the young talents can learn programming and develop apps, design games, learn soldering and build robots.
